Where it falls short
The honest version.
- Formatting is not carried over. Italics, headings and images in the source come back as plain paragraphs.
- Machine translation is a strong first draft, not a final one. Every paragraph stays editable.
- Anything not in the glossary is the model’s guess.
Questions
Asked first.
What counts as a page of a novel?
About 2,000 characters of source text. A chapter is cut into pages between paragraphs, never inside one, and the upload screen shows the page count and the credit total before you start.
What does a chapter cost?
10 credits a page on DeepSeek V4 Flash, for each language. A chapter of 20,000 characters is about 10 pages: about 100 credits into one language, about 200 into two.
Which files can I use?
Paste the text, or load a .txt or .docx file. The translation comes back as TXT or DOCX, and downloading it is free.
Does the glossary work for novels?
Yes, the same way it does for comics. Lock a name or a term once and every chapter holds to it, and names settled in one chapter carry into the next.
