CH. 01 · What we collect
Uploaded content
The comic page images you upload, the text detected on them, and the translations, glossary terms and typesetting edits you or your teammates make.
Team activity
Project membership and roles, page assignments, comments on text regions, and chapter export history, scoped to your Translation Group.
Billing data
Your plan, credit balance and credit transaction history. We pass your email and name to Dodo Payments to prefill checkout; we don't receive or store your card details. Dodo handles payment collection directly.
Anonymous demo usage
If you try the homepage demo without an account, we store a hashed session ID and a hashed IP address to enforce free-tier rate limits. We don't store your raw IP address.
Session cookie
A single encrypted cookie that keeps you logged in for up to 30 days. No third-party advertising or analytics cookies.
CH. 02 · How it's handled
What happens to uploaded page images
Uploaded pages are stored in Cloudflare R2 object storage. Finding the text regions and erasing the original lettering (inpainting) happen on our server, with models that run there; the server also typesets the translation. To read the text (OCR) and judge how each balloon is lettered, we send a cropped image of each text region, not the whole page, to Cloudflare Workers AI. Translation also runs on Workers AI and receives text only. We don't send your images to any other AI provider, and we don't use your content to train our own models. Images and the renders generated from them are kept for as long as your Project or account exists, so you can re-export or re-edit past chapters. Deleting a project or chapter in the app only moves it to Trash, where it can be restored; nothing is erased. To have pages permanently erased, email us.
Who processes data on our behalf
tinypica runs on a server we rent from our hosting provider, with Cloudflare's network in front of it, and uses Dodo Payments for billing. We don't sell your data and don't share it with anyone outside this: our hosting provider (the server that runs the app, our database, and the text-detection and inpainting models), Cloudflare (the network that carries traffic to our server, R2 storage for page images, exports and nightly database backups, the Workers AI models used for OCR and translation, and sending account emails) and Dodo Payments (payment processing for subscriptions and credit top-ups; Dodo receives your email, name and payment details at checkout; we receive a customer ID and payment confirmation, never your card details).
Your data, your requests
You can ask us to access, export, correct or delete your account data at any time. We handle these manually while in beta. Email us and we'll get back to you. Deleting your account removes your login and personal profile data; content owned by a Translation Group you don't solely own may be retained for other members unless the group itself is deleted.
International data
Cloudflare operates a global network, so your data may be processed in data centers outside your own country as part of normal service delivery.
Children
tinypica isn't directed at children and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page as tinypica adds features or vendors, and update the date above when we do.
